Rwanda Kivubelt Murundo
This is an intriguing coffee all the way around and deserves careful consideration by anyone who is a discerning coffee consumer. The aroma has beautiful floral notes of rose and jasmine, and it's a bit mossy. It's very fresh. In the cup the body is sharp, silky and juicy. There are notes of creme brulee, candied pecans, and oatmeal cookies. The finish is quick and snappy with more sweetness of sugarcane, brown sugar and some maple syrup.
We love this coffee and urge anyone on the fence about African coffees to give this one a try. You'll be glad you did.Aroma: Floral, Rose, Jasmine, Mossy

Rwanda Kivubelt Murundo is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Kivubelt Coffee, which owns several farms and a mill located in the Nyamasheke district of Rwanda. Furaha Umwizey, who was born and raised in Rwanda, established Kivubelt in 2008 after returning from Switzerland where she earned her master's degree in economics. Kivubelt currently cultivates coffee on three farms and also sources coffee from 600 neighboring small producers, who deliver cherry to the Murundo mill where the coffee is de-pulped, fermented, washed and dried. Kivubelt helps local producers improve quality and returns profits directly to the producers who deliver coffee to the Murundo mill. Furaha has also dedicated Kivubelt’s earnings to funding healthcare for more than 200 local residents.
