Tanzania Mbeya Peaberry
I love this coffee! Tanzania Peaberry from Mbeya is one of the classic coffee offerings you can't find easily. This coffee is the best example of the classic peaberry style I can remember drinking in the last 20 years.
This is a captivating gem. Being a peaberry coffee makes this one a tiny bit spicier and more complex. Remember, too, that peaberry coffee makes up only about 5% of a coffee harvest. It's ridiculously good!

This coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Iyela factory located in the Mbeya region, Tanzania. The lowest and highest elevations in all of Africa, the floor of Lake Tanganyika (352 meters below sea level) and Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters above sea level) are both located in Tanzania. This coffee growing region is south of these extreme landmarks, formed on the slopes of Mount Rungwe. The rounder shaped peaberry, formed from the maturation of one seed per cherry rather than the typical two seeds, is meticulously sorted during the milling process for its distinct flavor profiles.
