Bali Blue Krishna is a shocking Indonesian coffee. It's full of rich fruit aromas and volcanic earthiness. 

Bali Blue Krishna is a bold, strong, and velvety coffee with an overwhelming aroma, bursting with sweet tobacco, Brazil nuts, caramelized sugars, and chestnuts. 

In the cup, the body is deep, earthy, and mysterious. It's full of baker's chocolate, rich cherry, and bright, overripe plum. 

The finish is rich and lingering, with a bold licorice flavor full of robust cacao.  

There's fantastic, intense, gritty anise spice reminiscent of Good-N-Plenty candies. 

This is a stunning coffee from the heart of Indonesia.

About this Coffee

GROWER: Smallholder farmers from Kintamani
REGION: Kintamani, Bali, Indonesia
ALTITUDE: 1,200 – 1,600 meters
PROCESS: Hand-picked, wet-hulled, two-step sun drying on raised beds
VARIETY: Bourbon, (S795 & USDA 762) Typica, Catimor
HARVEST: May – October
SOIL: Volcanic loam
CERTIFICATION: Organically grown

Our Bali Blue Krishna is sourced from family-owned farms in the Kintamani highlands on the island province of Bali, Indonesia. Coffee is grown in the volcanic soils of Mount Agung, along with citrus trees that provide shade and another source of income.

Coffee production is typically organized around a Subak Abian, an ecologically sustainable irrigation system developed more than 1,000 years ago by Hindu priests who practice Tri Hita Karana (the three sources of prosperity), a philosophy focused on harmonizing the environment, humans, and God.

When the Bali Blue comes in it is time to stock up! My ultimate fav. Overall, it is the only coffee I’ll brew at home. Love the oily rich roast and I am not sure what Seth does but he performs magic; the flavor profiles are spot on. I have been purchasing Old Bisbee Roasters for over a decade now. Highly recommend.

I do not taste tobacco but I’ve never tasted sweet tobacco so maybe it is there.

Humm! There might be anise spice there. As. Kid I looked Good n’ Plenty candy.
