Kenya AA

$ 19.00

Coffee from Kenya is exceptional and deserves some extra information sharing.

After enjoying other African specialty coffees, such as Ethiopian or Tanzanian beans, it's time to consider Kenya's contribution to high-end coffees.

Kenya AA is often regarded as one of the best coffees in the world and is much sought after. We finally have some here!

Although coffee beans were first discovered in neighboring Ethiopia centuries ago, coffee production in Kenya only began at the turn of the 20th century. Since then, Kenya has gone on to be the 21st largest producer of coffee in the world, employing millions of people.

Most Kenyan coffee is grown in the elevated areas between Mount Kenya in the north and Nairobi in the southwest. The fertile volcanic soil in this region is ideal for growing coffee trees. In addition, the high altitude, the warm climate, and the perfect amount of rainfall contribute to the ideal growing conditions.

Kenya AA is the top tier of the Kenyan coffee grading system. AA beans are the best available.

Coffee lovers revere Kenya AA beans for their light body and bright mouthfeel. Our current coffee is also sweet throughout.

In the nose, I get an earthy and sweet creamy aroma, with a hint of spice.

The cup is light and clean, with notes of bergamot and citrus.

The finish is a bit fizzy, and it's quick, clean, and delicate.

Chocolaty riche

We’re having fun trying different Old Bisbee coffees. Kenya was a delicious choice, deep flavors, chocolate and pecans. With cream it was especially good.
