India Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold
One Real 16oz. Pound
India Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold is grown on small, family-owned farms that have operated for nearly one hundred years in the Chikmagalur District of Karnataka, India, in the Western Ghats Mountains.
Indian legends say that the Western Ghats mountains are where the first coffee in India was cultivated from seven raw beans brought from Mocha by a Sufi saint on a pilgrimage to Mecca in the 17th century.
Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold is the highest-grade Indian wet-processed Arabica coffee. Due to their colossal size, the beans are classed as extra bold and are as precious to fine coffee lovers as gold nuggets.
India Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold has a thick, sweet, earthy, and fresh aroma. The body is rich and heavy, with a touch of stone fruit, like chocolate-dipped apricot, and a finish that lingers like oak-aged brandy.

Coffee from the Chikmagalur region is typically shade-grown and commonly intercropped with black pepper and citrus, such as oranges. Washed coffees are depulped, fermented, washed, and then sun-dried on patios or raised tables—often at estate or local processing facilities, with some smallholders using manual pulpers.
If you think coffee from India sounds uncommon, wait until you hear about the Western Ghats mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biologically diverse places in the world, with more than 5,000 species of flowering plants and 508 bird species. The local Neelakurinji flower has a rare trait: it blooms only every 12 years.
